Maximum temperatures will be almost spring-like
Strong winds and high January temperatures on Wednesday. Clouds will be variable, often significant. Short rains will fall in the extreme southern and western parts of the country.
The southerly wind will strengthen even more in some areas north of the mountains, as well as in Eastern Bulgaria, its speed may exceed 100 kilometers per hour.
An orange code for strong wind has been announced in 7 regions – Montana, Vratsa, Veliko Tarnovo, Lovech, Gabrovo, Kardjali and Haskovo. In the rest of the country, the code is yellow.

Along with the strong wind, however, the transfer of warmer air will continue. The minimum temperatures tomorrow will already be between 5 and 13 degrees. The maximum will be almost spring and will reach from 14 to 19, 20 degrees.
The mountains will not be suitable for tourism tomorrow. The wind in the high and exposed parts will be hurricane-like with a speed of more than 120 kilometers per hour. Clouds will often manage to hide the sun, and more significant precipitation is expected in Pirin and the Rhodope Mountains. It will warm up here as well, as the temperatures will be positive in the resorts, and around zero on the peaks. The snow cover will decrease.
On Thursday, the weather in our country will remain warm and windy with short showers in the extreme western regions. On Friday, it will be mostly cloudy over the country, and there will be precipitation in more places. It will start to get cold in the afternoon and on the night of Saturday in Western Bulgaria, the rain will change to snow. During the weekend, the temperatures will already be at almost winter values. It will remain mostly cloudy with scattered rain and wet snow in the high western fields. Rainfall will also occur at the beginning of the new week, and the maximum temperatures will be around 9-10 degrees.
