Yasser Al-Azma did not call.. Hani Shaheen, with a new video: I regret having told about my suffering (video)

Syrian artist Hani Shaheen revealed that he had received messages of sympathy from all over the world, after a video clip of him was widely circulated complaining of the extreme poverty in which he lives, despite his work in the field of acting for 62 years.

Shaheen, known as “Corporal Nuri” in the “Bab Al-Hara” series, and one of the founders of the “Mirror” series, with the artist Yasser Al-Azma, returned to acting, as local pages published recent photos showing his participation in the “Cannon” series.

Back to acting after 13 years

Shaheen said in an interview with the local “Ninar FM” radio, that in addition to his participation in the “Canon” series, two days ago he started filming in the “Kharif Omar” series with the “Syria International” company.

He added that before that he had not been in front of the camera since the killing of the character “Corporal Nuri” in the fifth part of the “Bab Al-Hara” series, which was shown in 2010, indicating that he was the director of the production department for the first and second parts of the series.

He stated that he regretted after appearing in the meeting in which he talked about his financial suffering, justifying that he sold his car in order to spend on his house, pointing out that messages of sympathy and reassurance reached him from all over the world.

Yasser al-Azma did not call

In response to his interlocutor, who asked him: “Did the artist Yasser Al-Azma contact you, being your lifelong friend and work partner in the series “Mirrors”?

Shaheen pointed out that his relationship with “Yasser Al-Azma is ten years old… I mean, 20 years, I and him.. the director of Maraya production with him.. and participation in most of the episodes of the series.. on the contrary, Professor Yasser is the closest person to me.. two dimensions in privacy between me and him in the rides between us other than the artwork “.

After his appearance in the meeting, which caused a stir on social media, the Artists Syndicate in the areas controlled by the Assad militia broadcast a video clip on its Facebook page, and said that it was an explanatory video by Shaheen after some people blamed the Artists Syndicate.

In the video, Shaheen denied that the syndicate had fallen short with him, indicating that he blamed the directors, producers, and production companies that did not take into account the conditions of an artist who spent his life in this profession.

He tried to enumerate the advantages of the Asad Artists Syndicate, as he said, “The Syndicate has a health guarantee.. No one fishes in troubled water. Hani Shaheen is complaining or talking about the Syndicate..I did not speak about the Syndicate, but I say that I spoke about the Syndicate a word that comes to take out my eyes.” .

“We live on oil and thyme”

The artist, Hani Shaheen, had complained in the meeting about the deterioration of his financial and living conditions, despite his work in the artistic field for decades, denouncing that his reward at the end of his life would be “to die as a beggar.”

And he said, “20 days, by God Almighty, my madam and I live on thyme and oil.. The oil is white, which means it is not the oil of my country. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.. It cost a lot.. Then I sold the car.. I mean, I solved the matter in principle.”

He added, “I am ashamed to say, by God.. We have not known fruits for a year at all. We eat chicken meat, although it has also become expensive, 20 to 25 thousand kilos.”

The artistic community in the areas of Assad’s control witnesses the voices of some artists who have supported the Assad regime for more than 10 years, as an expression of the horror of the “hellish” situation in which they live as a reward for their support for crimes against the Syrian people.

These artists’ criticism of the situation in Assad’s regions does not go beyond the absence of basic services. Despite the tragic and tangible reality, they did not dare to criticize Bashar Assad and his regime, which has been behind the disasters of Syria for years, ignoring Bashar al-Assad’s direct responsibility for the destruction and economic, social and political crises that the country is experiencing.
