Yamaha Augur launched in Taiwan, how come it looks like this?

Yamaha officially presented its new scooter model in Taiwan. With a displacement of 155 cc, this motorcycle is called Yamaha Augur. Slightly deviated from Yamaha’s previous scooter models, the Augur has a slightly odd look.

Quoted from Yamaha Taiwan’s official website, Augur positions itself as an intelligent flagship. This bike is offered in three color choices, namely star titanium, arc blue and dark black.

Design-wise, the Yamaha Augur has a rather radical look to it. The dashboard area tends to be stuffy without the headlight housing. Yamaha buried the projector lamp in the center, which was then equipped with three line-shaped LED lights: one positioned vertically, the other two positioned vertically.

Yamaha Augur is equipped with advanced Y-LLA or Yamaha Lean Light Assist features. This function will automatically turn on the auxiliary light function, the brightness is adjusted according to the angle of inclination, when the body returns forward, the auxiliary light will automatically turn off.

This function is very useful for crossing dark roads at night, it can also increase the range of street lighting when cornering, so that your journey will ultimately become safer.

Also from the point of view of lighting, Yamaha has also equipped the Augur with the Y-AU function or Yamaha’s adjustable color temperature unit. This feature can make the headlights set with a variety of color choices. During rainy and foggy weather conditions, riders are free to switch between white or warm white light colors.

Another feature of the Yamaha Augur is the 4.3-inch color TFT instrument cluster linked to the “Y-Connect TWN” application that can be connected via a Bluetooth network.

Yamaha Augur is equipped with a 155cc, 4-valve Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. If you pay attention, this engine is the same one applied to the Nmax 155 and Aerox 155 models. Will the Yamaha Augur also be introduced in Indonesia?
