General chairman election agenda PBNU 2021-2026 begins with the selection process through voting for candidates for general chairman (Bacalon). Yahya Cholil Staquf won the most votes, followed by Said Aqil Siroj.
The counting of votes for the PBNU Ketum Bacalon was held at the University of Lampung’s GSG, Friday (12/24/2021). Regional Leaders and Branch Managers who use their votes as many as 552.
Apart from Yahya Staquf and Said Aqil, the name of As’ad Said Ali also appeared which was chosen by the participants of the conference. Meanwhile, there were also voices that were declared invalid.
This decision is not final yet. Two Bacalons who get the support of a minimum of 99 votes will advance to the next stage for the election of candidates for the PBNU chairmanship.
The atmosphere at the location still looks crowded. Salawat was also heard echoed by some participants of the conference.

Abstain: 1
