xQc Gets Help From Chat Bot While Texting Rapper Ice Spice

Former Overwatch pro Félix “xQc” Lengyel, 27, may be one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, but he gets nervous when it comes to texting a “real celebrity.” ChatGPT aims to help.

Which rapper is it? In a stream, xQc watched the new music video by American rapper Isis “Ice Spice” Gaston (23) for her song “Pincess Diana”.

A verse from the 23-year-old reads: “He gon’ hit hit up my ‘Gram, If he smart, h gon’ act like a fan”. he’s pretending to be a fan.” xQc took this to heart and immediately wanted to organize an interview with Ice Spice.

When compiling the message, the streamer, who is otherwise known for his fluency, was lost for words. He promptly asked the chat bot ChatGPT for help.

Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was famous enough in his heyday to even gamble with rapper Drake. You can see what became of him in the video.

xQc gets help from ChatGPT

What was xQc aiming for? The streamer explained he’d love to do an interview with Ice Spice, which I’m sure would be “pretty casual.” Without further ado, he decides to follow the “instructions” from the music video, visits the rapper’s Instagram account and begins writing, “Hey, big fan!”

But he’s still not really satisfied. After asking his chat for advice, he decides to seek professional help: in the form of ChatGPT. In his message to the chat bot, xQc writes that he’s a lowly, “e-tier” celebrity/content creator and wants to strike up a conversation with a famous singer. She says the message should come from a fan.

The GPT-4 model starts immediately and knocks out one paragraph after the other. However, the result does not convince the streamer. You can watch a compilation of the stream here in English:

Emoji instead of artificial intelligence

What was the problem? It seems the chat bot went a bit over the top. In the message, ChatGPT puts it on pretty thick: He wants to express his deep admiration that the artist’s music is the soundtrack of his most precious memory, the new album is no less than a masterpiece.

When ChatGPT is still not finished after 3 paragraphs and is talking about knowing the challenges of the industry as a colleague, xQc gives up: “What the heck, I’ll just send a private message.”

What does xQc write at the end? After careful consideration, xQc finally finds exactly the right words:

I write “Hey” with eight ups and I write “What’s up?” And then I put an emoji behind it: ice cream emoji, blushing emoji, and then cowboy emoji. Completed. I’ve already sent it. What do you think, is that bad?

After all, his message is creative and funny, according to the streamer. Even if the rapper doesn’t get in touch, he’ll probably make her smile, she’ll remember that, even if she’s ashamed of others.

It is not known whether Ice Spice reacted.

xQc currently seems interested in expanding its social circle. The new contacts don’t necessarily have to be human, as evidenced by his attempts to befriend a squirrel outside his window. The result is a drama in three acts:
