In the video, Xiaomi shows what must be a world record in charging mobile devices. In the video, you can see a modified Mi 11 Pro with a 4000mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, they should be able to charge the phone up to 100 percent in 8 minutes with what they call “HyperCharge” via cable. The same solution takes 15 minutes to charge the battery to 100 percent via wireless charging.
Fastest in the country
Xiaomi and other Chinese phone manufacturers love their tech demos when it comes to charging, and so does Oppo. VOOC is the name of Oppo’s technology that provides charges of 125W, last year they showed charging of a 4000mAh battery in 20 minutes. But with the numbers that Xiaomi can throw on the table, you can safely say that they are the fastest, so far. Whether this will be a technology that everyone will have access to remains to be seen.
