It is noteworthy that the reason that prevented the LCD screens from supporting the fingerprint sensor under the screen is that it needs a backlight to display the image, and that light may interfere with the optical fingerprint sensor. But Ridmi’s R&D department managed to get around this problem, and it is now working to provide the advantage for adoption on smartphones.
