Xiaomi 14 Ultra Design Unveiled Ahead of Launch: First Look at Camera and Materials

2024.02.15| Android Headlines

The design of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has just been unveiled as we await the phone’s launch event.

Xiaomi will announce its new flagship on February 25, at MWC 2024 in Barcelona. There is a chance that it will start a few days earlier in China. That said, the folks over at MySmartPrice have now shared a slew of images of the phone. This is our first real look at the phone. The camera island on the back is very similar to what we saw on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It has four camera sensors and even their placement is similar.

This camera island is located at the top of the back of the phone and protrudes quite a bit from the back. What we don’t get this time around is a gradual increase in the thickness of the phone’s back panel. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra had a slope on the back that grew towards the camera island. The back of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra looks mostly flat, bending towards the edges.

It looks like Xiaomi will use vegan leather on the back of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. This applies to both black and white models. The phone is said to come in vegan leather and glass versions, which is a bit confusing as only black and white models are rumored and both have vegan leather on the back. We’ll see.

All the physical buttons are located on the right side of the phone. We’re expecting a curved display here, at least based on the images that show the right and left sides of the phone. However, we cannot see the phone from the front.
