Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Saudi Arabia and embarked on a three-day state visit.

Before Xi’s arrival, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed that the trip would be a milestone in Chinese history.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Maoning said on the same day, “President Xi Jinping’s participation in the first Arab-Chinese summit is China’s largest and highest-level diplomatic move in the Arab world since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. This will be a milestone in Chinese history.”
