In the last few months we have heard a lot of rumors about ‘Xbox Live’, Microsoft’s online service. All pointed to various changes and even some of them stated that it would be discontinued. Luckily today Microsoft has officially announced that the name will be changed to ‘Xbox Network’, which has denied and clarified the other speculations.
Aside from Microsoft’s confirmation, many users noted that after updating their consoles, a different message appeared to them. Instead of asking for access to ‘Xbox Live’, asked ‘Xbox Network’.
“‘Xbox Network’ refers to the Xbox online service, which was updated in the Microsoft Services Agreement”, A company representative indicated. “The upgrade from ‘Xbox Live’ to ‘Xbox Network’ seeks differentiate the underlying service from Xbox Live Gol membershipsd”.
To this day, ‘Xbox Live’ has been the online service for Microsoft’s consoles for 18 years. For its part, this recent change it will not affect the functions it offers.
