This summer is filled with exciting streams where big news and trailers will be revealed, and two of the biggest are already this week with the Summer Game Fest on Thursday and the Xbox Games Showcase (as well as the Starfield Direct) on Sunday. Microsoft has learned a few lessons about how to charge for these over the years since we gamers tend to have our expectations a little too high. Therefore, the American company has been in the habit of clarifying a few things before such shows and asking us to moderate our expectations a little in the hope of not disappointing. This makes this new statement quite interesting.
Aaron Greenberg, the Vice President of Xbox Games Marketing, answered namely the following when one person advised him to post a message asking people to lower their expectations:
“No plans to hint, dampen or divulge anything. Love seeing all the wild anticipation, my advice is just come in with an open mind and enjoy the ride. Appreciate the years of hard work so many teams have put their hearts into and the soul in for you all”.
Of course, this does not mean that we should go in with extreme hopes and dreams, but Microsoft in any case seems quite confident about what awaits us from 19:00 on Sunday.
