WWE does not stop staff cuts. After the many wrestlers fired in mid-April and those of NXT released in recent days, now comes the news that there have been many layoffs today in the branch of the company less exposed to the eyes of the cameras, that of the digital department of the company.

According to reports from PWInsider, WWE has made heavy cuts to the digital department, with several executives also victims of layoffs. These include Jaylar Donlan, who was Executive Vice President Advanced Media Group and who had been with WWE for over 8 years. It seems that there are several layoffs today and that the WWE initiative has taken employees by surprise, also because of the importance of the executives involved in the cuts. The feeling is that some divisions of the company could be merged together in the coming weeks. .
According to reports PW Insider, the reason for this new round of layoffs would be attributable to a deep structural analysis carried out by WWE which would have found that many departments were redundant in WWE. There was a division linked to graphics in both the digital and television departments. It was therefore opted for a merger of similar departments, cutting the supernumerary units. The cuts have obviously caused discontent, with surviving employees now knowing they have to shoulder more responsibility and with others demoralized because they have seen their colleagues fired and their teams, built with so much effort and patience, dismembered over the years.
