DOKKUM – From Friday 15 October 2021, a visit to the catering industry in Dokkum on Friday and Saturday is possible with a wristband as a corona ticket. Dokkum is following the example of other cities that are already working with this and it fits in with the option that the ministry has given for this.
Visitors to the catering industry only need to scan their QR code and show their ID once a day. Moreover, this set-up makes it easier for the catering industry to check who has a corona ticket.
Checkpoint and issue on the Market
Catering visitors who want a wristband must show their corona admission ticket (CTB) and proof of identity. This is possible at a specially equipped ‘checkpoint’ on the Markt in Dokkum.
After the check there, the visitors receive a wristband. The wristbands are only valid on the day of issue and have a different color every day. In the coming weeks, the checkpoint will be open on Fridays between 2 pm and 11 pm and on Saturdays between 11 am and 11 pm.
Participating catering can be recognized by a sticker
A sticker on the window indicates that the catering facility is participating with the wristbands. It also remains possible to have the corona admission ticket scanned in combination with the ID for a visit to a catering facility.
‘Testing for access’ back in Dokkum
From Friday afternoon 15 October, there will also be another ‘test for access’ opportunity in Dokkum. With the exception of the first 10 days of October, residents of this region have so far had to travel to Leeuwarden or Drachten for ‘testing for access’. Mayor Kramer is happy that this can happen again in Dokkum. “We found it annoying that people had to travel so far to test for access. That’s why we looked at the possibilities closer to home. We are very happy that we have found a solution for our residents.”
The municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân has therefore decided to make a small-scale test location possible. This test location is combined with the issuing point for the corona wristbands and is therefore also located on the Markt in Dokkum. Residents can have themselves tested here for free. They can make an appointment for this via the website testenvoortoegang.org.
The Dokkumer test location is currently only open on Fridays and Saturdays. Depending on the test requirement, it is checked whether tests can also be taken on other days of the week.
