The Wrexham, the actor’s Welsh club Ryan Reynoldshas announced on Monday morning in a statement the withdrawal from professional football of its goalkeeper and former Manchester United, Ben Foster. Before the 13 goals conceded in four League Two gamesthe English international in eight games has wanted to announce his retirement for the second time.
Foster, 40, came out of retirement, joining Wrexham in March this year following Rob Laiton’s injury and was key in promotion last season to the English fourth divisionthe “League Two”, a milestone that earned the club to renew the goalkeeper for another season.
“The truth is that my performances this season have not reached the level that I demand of myself and I feel that now is the right time to retire,” Foster said.
