After a leak earlier in the week, Blizzard has just as easily revealed the release date for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic. The expansion arrives in the classic version of the online role-playing game on the night of September 27, at the stroke of midnight here in Norway.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic turns back the clock 14 years, allowing players to explore the ice kingdom of Northrend anew. Here you can climb up to level 80, try your hand at the Death Knight class and take on the Lich King himself, Arthas Menethil.
Things will still not be completely identical to how they were when the expansion was first launched. Blizzard has, among other things promised to include automatic tracking of missions, via a so-called Quest Tracker. Players also get to craft a Death Knight even if they don’t already have another character at level 55, which was a requirement in the old days.
Elsewhere in World of Warcraft land, there will also be a new expansion to the regular version of the game. This one is called Dragonflightand will go according to plan will be released later this year.
In addition to game development, Blizzard is also involved in a number of lawsuits related to harassment and gender discrimination in the workplace. The developer is also in the process of becoming acquired by Microsoftto the net sum of NOK 600 billion.
