The Secretary of Culture, Recreation and Sports (SCRD) celebrates all artists, public and private spaces, open and closed today on World Theater Day, in which citizens, as creators of experiences, can access this cultural movement.
Despite the challenges and learnings, in the last year, it was a period in which as a culture, recreation and sports sector they reinvented themselves so that the policies, actions, cultural and artistic offerings were at the height of the historical moment in which we live.
The processes of creating new ways to get closer to the public, never stopped, that is why today on World Theater Day they celebrate it together.
We have to thank the theater for that time when someone said something from the stage that we had kept in our hearts, or that time when we laughed until we almost lost our voice. For the great discoveries and great celebrations, thank you! #TheaterDaypic.twitter.com/IHiSaBn8cb

“We have had important changes such as the resignification of the alliance between citizens and creators, which is marked by a priority commitment, which has transformed the path of the cultural sector and our social dynamics, among which artistic creations in small formats stand out” , comments, Nicolás Montero, Secretary of Culture, Recreation and Sports.
From the Ministry of Culture, Recreation and Sports, it has been promoted as an increasingly solid path in these processes of reactivation of the sector. “We are a city that from the stages has promoted dialogue, created questions and encouraged conversations, and, above all, has permeated the daily lives of citizens to enrich the experience of the days,” says Montero.
Clearly, theater has become one of the most important arts for the world, it has allowed different types of stories to be interpreted and in which artists explore different facets and challenge themselves.
For the public, it is that moment of feeling that the universe is multiplying, it is that hope that infects us with the creative capacity that comes from our human condition. There is no doubt that the culture sector found different ways to continue accompanying citizens, to continue creating, to continue weaving stories.
We are aware that we must continue to fan that creative fire of the arts. Thus, we will continue to collectively set the stage for the future.
