Doctors initially said the mother was expecting six children
A woman from the Republic of South Africa (South Africa) “broke” the record for the number of children born from one pregnancy: she gave birth to seven boys and three girls, all conceived naturally, reports “Focus”.
According to the publication, 37-year-old Goziame Tamara Sitole was admitted to a hospital in Pretoria, where she had a caesarean section in the 29th week of gestation. Thus, the woman “broke” the record set by Halima Cisse from Mali, who gave birth to nine children in a hospital in Morocco in May.
The number of babies came as a surprise to Gossiama, as doctors initially told her she was expecting six children. The mother, a native of the village of Tembisa in the municipality of Ekurhuleni, works as a store manager. She already has 6-year-old twins.
