Despite the fact that the health contingency has begun to be controlled in various territories, it left many sectors seriously affected. Among them is the music industry, whose challenges, especially for independent artists, have multiplied.
From this need to reconnect with the public, the sound party is born 360 ° Cultures: Festival of festivals, I find that he combines rhythms from all latitudes and that he hopes to serve as a bridge for artistic collaboration.
In addition, it promotes social transformation and solidarity, since promoters, curators, producers and cultural professionals from nine global music festivals (TD Sunfest —Canada—, IndiEarth by EarthSync —India—, Mozambique Music Meeting – Mozambique—, Kriol Jazz Festival —Cabo Verde—, Cantos na Maré —Portugal—, Jazz Plaza —Cuba—, Womad —Chile—, Artes à Rua —Portugal— and the International Festival of Cultures in Resistance “Ollin Kan” —Mexico -). 360º cultures it is an alternative, inclusive global concept that reflects the world’s musical and cultural diversity.
This project online, which hopes to return year after year, will broadcast concerts in high quality from regions that are normally foreign to us. For two days, great artists will present their sounds of world music, jazz, blues, funk, indie rock and folk rhythms.
Among the musicians that will perform are Mamá Sonika (Mexico), Son Rompe Pera (Mexico), Kalimarimba (Chile), Morena Son (Cuba), Lemon Bucket Orkestra (Canada) and Francisco El Hombre (Brazil), among others.
360 ° cultures, presented by the traditional festival Ollin Kan, will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 at 6:00 p.m. Mexico time through its YouTube channel.
