WORK: Increase in the exceptional purchasing power premium

LREM MP Didier Paris is delighted “with the adoption of these measures, which demonstrates the recognition of second line workers”.

Didier Paris press release of April 3, 2020:

The Government facilitates the use of the exceptional purchasing power premium and increases the amount

Created in late 2018 in response to the “Yellow Vests” crisis, the exceptional purchasing power bonus was renewed in 2020, subject to the existence of a profit-sharing agreement in the company.

It allows companies to pay a bonus of up to € 1,000 to their paid employees up to 3 times the minimum wage, or € 3,600 net per month, exempt from taxes, contributions and social contributions for the company. as for the employee.

The crisis linked to the Covid-19 epidemic has led many employees – particularly in the retail, construction, transport, etc. sectors. – to work in difficult conditions.

To facilitate recognition of their work and their commitment, an order issued on April 1, 2020 makes it easier to use this device and increases the amount:
– Companies will be able to pay a bonus of up to € 1,000, exempt from taxes, social contributions and contributions, for the company and the employee, even in the absence of a profit-sharing agreement.
– This amount is also raised to € 2,000 when such an agreement exists (the deadline for setting up such an agreement is extended from June 30 to August 31, 2020).
– In addition, within a company, the amount of the bonus may be adjusted to take into account working conditions during the Covid-19 epidemic.
– The premium payment deadline is extended from June 30 to August 31, 2020

I am delighted with the adoption of these measures, which testifies to the recognition of the “second-line employees” who courageously occupy their posts so that our fellow citizens will not lack for anything.
