KOMPAS.com – Sempon Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Jatisrono District, Regency Wonogiri, Central Java, is becoming a new cluster of distribution Covid-19.

Although stated positive, the six residents underwent independent isolation at home.
The reason is, they are considered to have no comorbidities and complaints.

Tracing efforts made by the task force team on the spread of Covid-19 in the Islamic boarding school again found new facts.

With the increase in the number of people who were positive for Covid-19, a total of 35 people in the Islamic boarding school have confirmed corona positive.
“From the results of PCR inspection of 46 residents of the cottage, 26 of them tested positive for Covid-19,” said Wonogiri Regent, Joko Sutopo when contacted by Kompas.com via telephone on Friday (7/17/2020).
Of the 26 new cases, 18 of them are Wonogiri residents, and the rest are from Sragen, Kalimantan, and other regions.

Related to the swelling of the Covid-19 case in the Ponpes cluster, the Wonogiri Regency Government finally made a policy of isolating one village.
“The results of the agreement between the meeting with Forpimda, sub-district head, village head for a while Sempon Village was totally isolated,” said Regent Wonogiri, Joko Sutopo, Friday (07/17/2020) night.
The policy was carried out to minimize the potential for the spread of Covid-19 in the surrounding area.
The supervision will be carried out by the Central Java Covid-19 Task Force Team, Wonogiri Regency Government, and the local village government.
Not only isolation, Jekek also said that the task force team will re-tracing the case of the pesantren cluster.
“We will trace back close contact and moderate positive patient contact with local residents,” Jekek explained.
