Won prestigious award

– It gives us an insane energy to continue working with fun projects, to excite even more families with children, exclaims general manager Hogne Høstmælingen in Hunderfossen family park.

The world’s best

Tuesday night at 20, Norwegian time, TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) announced that they have named Reodor Felgens Hyperakselerator the world’s best attraction. They won in the class for attractions that have cost less than 100 million kroner to build.

TEA is an interest organization for the world’s more than 5,000 amusement parks.

The management in Hunderfossen got the impression that they were putting on something out of the ordinary when the Hyperaxelator became front-page material in the trade magazine for the world’s amusement parks, Park World.

– Competing against both Legoland, Star Wars and other major attractions worldwide, in that magazine, and then get on the front page with Solan and Ludvik and Reodor, it gave us heart palpitations, that, says Høstmælingen.

That was when they submitted the project description for the competition in TEA.

Goes on cow prom

The hyper-accelerator has been created as a further development of Kjell Aukrust’s Flåklypa universe.

The visitors get to be with Kjell Aukrust’s characters in a jet-powered kick that runs on fuel made from cow-prom.

– It runs on environmentally friendly fuel developed from short-distance cows and sheep that feed on a specially made cabbage and pea mixture.

When the Hyperaxelator opened, the Aukrust Foundation’s chairman of the board would not say anything about the fuel.

– No, it is very secret, so I do not think I can, said chairman Lars Espen Aukrust to TV 2.

– But that there are strong things, it is quite obvious.

Aukruststiftelsen and Hunderforssen Familiepark have entered into a strategic collaboration to utilize the Flåklypa universe in amusement park attractions.

The animations are made by Qvisten Animation, which is also behind the last three Flåklypa films.

Charmed by the Flåklypa universe

Hogne Høstmælingen believes the jury has been charmed by the exotic skins universe.

– We are proud that little Hunderfossen manages to convince the world that yes, we have one of the world’s best attractions, says Høstmælingen.

– Not least the madness, the madness, that we have created here with all possible remedies and a little home mecca solutions. It is in a way so reliable in relation to the large polished attractions you will find abroad.
