This year’s Siva Prize has been awarded to the company Foamrox in Froland.

TRONDHEIM / FROLAND: – We are humbled to receive the award in competition with reputable companies that we have great respect for, says general manager Glenn Alexander Jakobsen in Foamrox, in a press release.
This year’s theme for the Siva Prize is «Green exports». The purpose is to promote companies that have succeeded in the export market, are climate-friendly and have production in Norway.
The state-owned company for industrial growth, Siva,’s main goal is to facilitate sustainable growth in industry and business.
200,000 kroner
During the Siva conference in Tronheim on Tuesday, Minister of Research and Higher Education Ola Borten Moe (Sp) presented the award to Foamrox from Froland.
58 companies were nominated for the Siva Prize 2022, but only five went on to the finals.
– To be nominated for the Siva award is in itself a recognition of the important work that is being done to create new activity and green, profitable jobs across the country. The five finalists have in their own way shown enormous ability and willingness to seize opportunities and give us more legs to stand on in the years to come, says Borten Moe, who is impressed with the candidates, and hopes they can help inspire others.
Glenn Alexander Jakobsen in Foamrox thinks it is great to win the Siva prize, which was 200,000 kroner.
– We would like to extend a big thank you to contractors and builders who have shown confidence in us as a supplier, and to dare to use innovative and environmentally friendly solutions in their projects. It is fundamental to be able to contribute to changes in the green shift, says Jakobsen.
Fire, water and frost
The company from Froland is an industrial company specializing in fire, water and frost protection. The products are used in robust environments where there is a need for insulated and waterproof solutions, which also have strict fire requirements.
In addition to the Siva Prize, the innovation X-Factor Prize was also awarded to Ocean GeoLoop.
Siva CEO Andreas Krüger Enge believes that both Foamrox and Ocean GeoLoop are worthy winners in a competition with many and very strong candidates.
– The companies in this year’s final heat show that it is possible to create jobs in Norway, increase exports and reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the same time. Through innovation, collaboration and knowledge sharing, they contribute every single day to developing Norwegian business and industry, says Enge.
