Woman found the mail while taking a walk.
Hundreds of sealed letters that did not reach the recipients were found on the street by a woman, during a walk, in the area of Abrançalha de Baixo, next to the A23 viaduct, in Abrantes.
It all happened around 8:30 pm on Wednesday. The woman alerted the PSP that she picked up the mail.
“The file was prepared and all the letters were already delivered to the CTT post in Abrantes”, explained Commissioner João Silva of the Santarém PSP. At issue may be a crime of violation of correspondence.
“For the Public Ministry to investigate the crime in question, the injured parties will have to file a complaint,” he concluded.
