“He starred in over 400 films, including in Roman Polański’s Pirates,” she recalled. In this production, “Dziunek” appeared together with the Olympic champion in shot put from 1972 Władysław Komar and Polish actor Eugeniusz Priwieziencew.

Łysiak recalls Barański. “The legends are gone”

Barański was also mentioned in social media by the writer, historical essayist and screenwriter Tomasz Łysiak.

“What a sad news. Dziuniek taught me bareback horseback riding and took care of the ‘stuntman’ during the shooting of ‘Cynga’ – Leszek Wosiewicz’s 1991 film” – he recalled on Facebook. “I will never forget him … Time runs inexorably, legends depart. Bless his soul, let him rest in Eternal Peace” – added Łysiak.
