Although the year 2021 was one full of challenges, it was not a deterrent for PR Legal Help (ALPR) to achieve an impact on 1.9 million people through advice and provision of information and some 4,300 people through direct legal support, explained Ariadna M. Godreau, executive director of the organization.
Given the achievement obtained, ALPR is preparing to increase its impact this year 2022 to two million people, who will receive free information and another 6,000 who will receive direct legal support.
As reported, on the agenda for 2022 they will develop a digital platform to file complaints with regulatory agencies. They will also create meeting, training and mutual support spaces for families at risk of foreclosure. In the same way, they will develop a campaign of legal empowerment against discrimination in the purchase of houses and in the face of the threat of mortgage foreclosure.
In addition, they will promote a referral system to entities that offer comprehensive support to families at risk of foreclosure, launch initiatives to defend rents, and develop a digital center for self-defense.
