With 1,047 new cases of covid-19, the country’s figure rises to 34,802

In the last 24 hours in the country they were confirmed 1,029 cases of community transmission and 18 “imported”, for a total of 1,047 new infections.

“Venezuela adds 34,802 cases of coronavirus, of which 10,939 are active, 23,575 recovered, 6,675 are in hospitals, 4,082 in CDI, 182 in private clinics and the unfortunate number of 288 deaths.”

The balance was again offered via twitter, at 10:00 pm on Monday, August 17, by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.

The Capital District continues to lead the national case registries and Rodríguez said: “Today new infections have been detected in the 22 parishes of the Capital District (393), with the largest number of cases being concentrated in El Valle (99), Catia ( 33) and San Juan (25) “.

This entity is followed by Miranda with 250 new cases and La Guaira adds 81 more infections. Zulia has 60 more cases.

Regarding the “imported” infections, he indicated that 17 come from Colombia and one from Brazil.

At the beginning of week 23 of the quarantine, they confirmed the death of 7 people:

2 men 60 and 62 years old – Táchira

2 men of 68 and 64 years – Carabobo

a 26-year-old man – Miranda

a 78 year old woman – La Guaira
