Winners announced at the Egyptian Catholic Center Film Festival’s closing ceremony

The management of the Egyptian Catholic Center Film Festival announced the festival’s awards at the closing ceremony of the 71st session, which was held on Friday.

The artist Khaled El Nabawy won the Best Actor Award at the Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema Festival, for his movie “Qamar 14”, and Sahar Al Sayegh won the Best Actress Award for the movie “The Green Gate” jointly with Asmaa Abu El Yazid for her role in the movie “The Night of the Moon 14”.

Bayoumi Fouad won the award for best actor in a second role for his role in the movie “The Green Door”, while Mai Al-Ghaiti won the award for best actress in a second role for her role in the movie “Kamila”.

Marc Awni won the award for best photography for the movie “Kamila”, and the award for best editing went to Ahmed Hafez for the movie “Night of the Moon 14”, and the award for best screenplay went to scriptwriter Mahmoud Zahran for the movie “Night of the Moon 14”, and the award for best directing went to director Hadi Al-Bahoury for The movie “Night of the Moon 14” and “Night of the Moon 14” won the award for best film, which was received by producer Ahmed El Sobky.

The festival awarded a Certificate of Artistic Creativity to each of the artist Ahmed Hatem for the movie “Night of the Moon 14”, and Muhammad Al-Sharnoubi for her role in the movie “11:11”, Moataz Hisham for his role in the movie “11:11”, Nour Ehab for her role in the movie “11 :11”, sound engineer Ahmed Jaber, for the movie “Night of the Moon 14”.

The festival’s artistic excellence award was won by the late artist Samir Sabry for the movie “It Happened in 2 Talaat Harb” and it was received by Samira Ahmed and Hussein Fahmy, while the artist Ahmed Badir won the Special Jury Prize for his role in “The Night of the Moon 14”.

The Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema Festival, at the closing ceremony of its 71st session, honored the members of the jury, where the award was received by: director Hany Lashin, head of the committee, artist Mahdi Kamel, Dr. Ghada Jabara, president of the Academy of Arts, director of photography Sameh Selim, critic Nahed Salah, and Ghab Kul. From the artist Magda Zaki, the artist Aisha bin Ahmed, and the musician Khaled Al-Kammar.

The festival witnessed 5 films competing for awards this year, namely; “Moon Night 14” directed by Hadi El Bagoury, “11:11” directed by Karim Abu Zeid, “Happened in 2 Talaat Harb” directed by Magdy Ahmed Ali, “Complete” directed by John Ikram, and “The Green Gate” directed by Raouf Abdel Aziz. These films were chosen from among twenty-five films that were shown commercially in cinemas, in addition to two films that were shown on platforms, for the first time in the history of the festival before they were shown commercially.
