The City Council has announced this Friday the poster selected as the winner of this edition, whose author is Iñaki Fernández, a native of Navarra, who pays tribute to the sculptures of the artisan from La Laguna in his creation
The Laguna de Duero City Council has released this Friday the poster for the patron saint festivities of Nuestra Señora del Villar 2023, which has been chosen from among seven proposals submitted to this edition’s contest. After the vote, the selected work was ‘They will leave their state for the holidays to enjoy’, a work by Iñaki Fernández Iturmendi, a native of the Navarrese municipality of Arre.
With this creation, the artist pays tribute to the different sculptural creations of the recently deceased Lorenzo Duque, a craftsman who has gained great prominence, throughout his life, in the municipal festivals, of which he was a preacher, in fact, in the year 2015. In the vote, in which representatives of different groups and clubs have participated, the mayor, Avelino Álvarez, as well as the councilors Fernando Vara and Juan Carlos Rodríguez have been present.
