When Microsoft published information about the popularity of its operating systems at the end of this year, it revealed that 1.4 billion users use the platforms it supports. It was specifically about Windows 10 and Windows 11, but the American software giant did not specify the exact share.

However, it is clear from the data of the analytical portal StatCounter that the tens are leading the way, currently 72.22% of the market belongs to them. In June, it was even more (73.45%), but even so, no other system from Microsoft’s workshop comes even remotely close to such a share.

The mentioned elevens are in third place, even though it is a very close fight. The Windows 11 operating system increased from 10.96% in June to 11.77% in July.

The once very popular sevens, which are no longer supported at all and have no updates, also rose from 11.54% in June to 11.96% in July. Thanks to this, they kept the second place in the statistics.

What does Windows 11 offer?
Windows 11 brings a completely renewed design, which is typical of the light blue color, new icons or rounded corners of windows and menus. Also completely new is the Start menu, which is now located in the middle of the main bar, similar to other application shortcuts – said to be “closer to touch” for users.

Windows Widgets are new. We already know a similar gadget from mobile platforms, basically it is a live window in which important information that the user cares about is displayed. For example, messages, calendar entries, reminders, weather, etc. Individual windows can be rearranged and resized by the user.

In the new version of the system, great emphasis was also placed on the players, in elevens individual titles are loaded significantly faster. At the same time, thanks to the support of AutoHDR technology, the Windows 11 operating system offers top graphics for individual titles even without the intervention of developers.

Applications designed for the Android mobile platform can also be installed in the new system.
