According to Wimbledon boss Richard Lewis, the coronavirus crisis could lead to the complete absence of the rest of the tennis season. Lewis still believes that at least the hard court season with the US Open can take place from August 24, as he said the day after the cancellation of his own classic lawn in London.

“The optimist in me – and I’m often not optimistic – still hopes that the American hard court season can take place. I don’t think it is unrealistic to say that there could be no tennis this year. But let’s hope that the US Open and Roland Garros can take place ”Lewis said on Thursday. The French Open in Paris has been postponed from the end of May / beginning of June to September 20 to October 4.
