Met Jurassic World Universal Pictures successfully cleared the Jurassic Parkrelaunch franchise. The franchise is slowly being expanded and now the story is that it must quickly burst at the seams.
Giant Freakin Robot claims that Universal plans to build a movie universe around the dinosaur franchise. The idea is to make multiple movies and series that are all set in the same universe, and are thus interconnected.
Jurassic World-franchise
Of course we already see some of the seeds being sown for such a film universe. Slowly we get more and more new content in the franchise.
Not only will Universal come with the film next year Jurassic World: Dominion, they are also building on the Netflix series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, an animated series that is officially considered part of the canon. And on top of that, Amblin Television is working on a live-action television series in the franchise.
The story of Giant Freakin Robot does not sound very strange.
Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled for release on June 9, 2022. The film is the concluding part of the Worldtrilogy, but also the launching point for the future of the franchise.
