Wiener overturned by scaffolding in Leopoldstadt – readers

Shortly before the end of duty, there was an accident at a construction site on the exhibition street. A man fell off scaffolding and was seriously injured. Shortly afterwards, several rescue and fire service personnel were on site.

The rescue team stabilized the man on the roof and then brought him safely to the ground via the aerial ladder. The rescue helicopter, which flew the worker to the nearest hospital, was already waiting there. According to rescue spokeswoman Corina Had, the paramedics estimated that the seriously injured man was around 50 years old.
