Why won’t the Social Security direct payment be sent in July?

The beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will not receive their payments with values of up to $914.00 USD this month of July. This was confirmed by the provision of the schedule of the Social Security Administration (SSA).The SSA also noted that the recipients received double payments in the month of June. One was sent on Thursday, June 1, and the other on Friday, June 30, since July 1 fell on a weekend. For this reason, the next check will be sent on Tuesday, August 1.

What is the amount of the checks?

Although the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program is not new, many people still have questions about the amounts awarded.

In this sense, the amounts that the beneficiaries receive will depend on their tax returns. In other words, individual beneficiaries will receive a maximum of $914.00 USD each month.

Meanwhile, beneficiaries who filed joint tax returns will receive $1,371.00 USD.

In addition, essential people (which are those who live with beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income Program) will get about $458.00 USD.

It is valid to clarify that the payment schedule is stipulated so that the beneficiaries receive their 12 checks per year.

This applies to both retirees and recipients of the Supplemental Security Income program. This was stated by the Social Security Administration.

For this reason, this year there are four months in which checks are sent twice a month. We are talking about March and the recent June, but there is also September and December. This occurs because payments are not sent on holidays or weekends.

However, people who are interested in qualifying for the program must comply with some established parameters.

For example, be over 65, have limited income, blindness or any physical or mental disability that limits your daily activities.
