Why the Demand for “More Money for Small Pensions” is Justified in Some Cases

With great regularity one hears the appeals of the Caritas director, who demands more money for the small pensions. Far from saying that I did not consider this demand to be justified, one should not overlook the fact that the small pension is in many cases a consequence of carelessness in active working life, when for too long it was perhaps considered God-given that the state for a secure income for its citizens in old age. If that were true, they would always be the stupid ones who use every opportunity to secure their income not only when they are active, but also in old age. The lucrative botch, which undoubtedly improves the current income situation, would therefore be preferred to regular overtime and thus withdraw money from the state. However, it must be undisputed that the demand for “more money for small pensions” is justified in many cases, because there will always be people who are in need through no fault of their own and to whom society, i.e. everyone, has an obligation help. However, this help must not become a lazy bed and must therefore be strictly controlled so that any misuse can be ruled out as far as possible.
