The risk of infection can occur considering that the mouth and throat are the entrance and reservoir of SARS CoV-2 which causes Covid-19. The use of PVP-I antiseptic is highly recommended to prevent and break the chain of Covid-19 infection. The effectiveness of PVP-I in fighting Covid-19 has been widely proven through various studies.
“An in vitro study by Duke-National University Singapore showed that PVP-I antiseptic was able to kill 99.99 percent of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in 30 seconds. Meanwhile, an independent study by the National University Health System Singapore showed that PVP-I throat spray succeeded in reducing SARS-CoV-2 infection by 24 percent in terms of absolute risk reduction.
