The area labeled Israel on the current map also contains the city of Jerusalem, which is considered sacred to Palestinian Arabs and Israeli Jews alike.

Another reason why is Israel attacking Palestine is a conflict since the early 1900s, when a largely Arab and Muslim territory was still part of the Ottoman empire.

After World War I Britain received a mandate from the League of Nations to help establish a state for the Jews in the region. This order is known as the Mandate of Palestine.

Large numbers of Middle Eastern Jews have also moved to Israel, either to escape anti-Semitic violence or because of their forced expulsion.

But this led to communal violence between Jews and Arabs in Palestine getting out of control.

Meanwhile Jerusalem, the holy city for Jews and Muslims, has become a special international zone.

However the plan never materialized. Direction leaders in the region regard the plan as European colonial theft and invading Palestine.

Israel has existed since when? The answer is May 14, 1948 or the day before the British Mandate in Palestine ended.

The chairman of Yishuv (Jewish Community in Palestine), David Ben-Gurion, at that time declared the establishment of the state of Israel in front of 250 invited people at the Tel Aviv Museum.

In this declaration Ben-Gurion made no mention of the boundaries of the newly established state of Israel.

A number of records say the founders of Israel agreed not to mention the borders of the country, because Arab countries around Israel would definitely not agree to it.

As a result, only a day after David Ben Gurion et al declared the establishment of the state of Israel, declarations of war came from Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

This declaration of war was followed by the invasion of Arab troops into Jewish territory.

As many as 700 Lebanese, 1,876 Syrians, 4,000 Iraqis, and 2,800 Egyptians invaded Palestine.

Meanwhile, about 4,500 Transjordan troops led by 38 British officers who withdrew from their units invaded Jerusalem.

To deal with the invasion of this Arab coalition, Israel on May 26, 1948 formed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) whose members were a fusion of various militias such as Haganah, Palmach, Irgun, and Lehi.

In its development, the IDF actually succeeded in deploying more troops than the Arab coalition forces.

In early 1949 Israel had 115,000 troops while the Arab coalition was only about 55,000.

The 1948 war ended with Israel controlling all of the territories currently marked on the map as Israel.

Except for the West Bank and Gaza, which is where most Palestinians have fled, and is now considered Palestinian territory.

That’s the reason why is Israel attacking Palestine. The current situation in PalestineIsrael was bombarding Gaza after the conflict erupted Al Aqsa Mosque was attacked at the end of Ramadan 2021.
