Why Aice Ice Cream Prices Can Be Cheap? This is Management’s Word

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Alpen Food Industry (AFI), Aice ice cream producer, sells its products at relatively cheap prices compared to other ice cream company products.

For example, ice cream, Milk Melon, Bingo, Pineapple and Watermelon ice cream variants are only Rp 2,000. While Banana Crispy, Corn and Mochi products are priced at Rp 3,000. While for the most expensive price it is priced at Rp 10,000 for the Durian variant of ice cream.

Aice Group Brand Manager Sylvana Zhong said, there are several reasons behind the cheap price of ice cream products.

“The first is because it is in line with Aice’s vision and mission, namely Have An Aice Day. Therefore, with our vision and mission, we want to make people’s lives more beautiful by consuming our products,” he said during a virtual press conference on Friday (6/26) / 2020).

Then, the second reason is that the presence of sophisticated production technology can make the number of processed ice cream production more and the costs needed for its production to be even cheaper.

Moreover, he said, it was encouraged by the existence of an experienced Research and Development (R&D) team that could choose cheap and quality raw materials to be used.

In addition, he continued, in this ice cream business, Aice did not take large profits.

“This is also in accordance with the principle of our vision and mission so that with a fair price all people can enjoy it from all levels,” he said.

Meanwhile, for distribution, Aice was not fixed in the modern market but also penetrated the traditional market. That way, he hopes that all groups of children or adults do not need to go far to the supermarket or modern retail to get Aice ice cream.

“Just go to the shop next to the house, can already enjoy our ice cream. So no need to go all the way to the mall or other retail,” he said.
