/ world today news/ According to the World Health Organization, the health system in the Gaza Strip has been destroyed. Currently, only 9 of the total 36 hospitals in Gaza are partially operational and all of them are overburdened. The WHO also states that the demand for medical services is increasing significantly, but only 38% of hospital places are available and only 30% of medical staff are still working.
The WHO warns that if the health system in the Gaza Strip collapses, it will be a huge tragedy. The organization calls again for a ceasefire.
