REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GENEVA — The World Health Organization (WHO) declared an epidemic monkey pox or monkeypox is an extraordinary situation that now qualifies as a global emergency. The outbreak is reported to have spread to more than 70 countries.
For this condition, this international body said that more efforts were needed to deal with it. Action is needed to treat diseases that have occurred in the past and possibly create a scramble for vaccines.

While by now it had spread widely among people until May, when authorities detected dozens of epidemics in Europe, North America and elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Kentucky health officials announced the state’s first possible case. However, scientists note the outbreak has the potential to grow to be much larger than the current number of cases.
