Spokesperson for the World Health Organization (WHO) Margaret Harris said if the spread corona virus in large waves not affected by the season that is happening as well as influenza.
“The season does not seem to affect the spread of the virus at this time. What affects the transmission of the virus is mass gatherings, people do not keep their distance, do not take precautions to ensure they are not in close contact,” Harris said while speaking to Irish radio station, Newstalk , Tuesday (7/28).
“People still think this has something to do with the season. What we all need to be aware of is that this virus is new and has a different behavior,” he added.
He warned that all people should not be complacent if the Covid-19 case in their country experienced a decline or easing lockdown.
“Unfortunately people interpret the end of the locking up area as the end of the plague. Whereas the easing lockdown is a time when you need to increase your vigilance, “he warned.
But he said easing lockdown it makes many people complacent and more relaxed, so it’s not surprising if there is an increase in the number of infections.
