JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Jakarta State University lecturer Ubedilah Badrun was reported by Jokowi Mania (Joman) volunteer to Polda Metro Jaya for defamation of two sons of President Joko Widodo, Gibran Rakabuming and Kaesang Pangarep.
Previously, Ubedilah had reported Gibran and Kaesang on charges of money laundering and alleged corruption.
How did Ubedilah respond when she was reported back by Joman volunteers?

Through a video recording on Friday (14/1/2022), Ubedilah stated that Joman’s report was inaccurate.
The reason, according to Ubedilah, is that the defamation report is a complaint offense. Thus, the party who should report defamation is the party who feels his name has been defamed.
“From a legal point of view, if the offense is a complaint, it should be the victim,” he said.

Therefore, he questioned the capacity of the reporter, namely the Head of Joman Volunteers, Imanuel Ebenezer.
“What if Noel (Imanuel Ebenezer) was the victim? I don’t know the story,” he said.
