Frankfurt All companies must now become climate neutral – in other words, reorganize their business activities so that the bottom line is that they do not emit any greenhouse gases, demands Blackrock boss Larry Fink. In one of his well-known letters at the end of January, he appealed to the heads of international corporations to make their companies more climate-friendly.
The head of the world’s largest asset manager Blackrock urges the fight against global warming. Attention is certain to him. After all, the fund giant manages $ 8.7 trillion in client money and can therefore exert a great deal of influence on companies through its invested capital.
Fink calls on the company bosses to participate in a broad trend. Not only money managers, but also consumers, investors, politicians, supervisory authorities, central banks: everyone wants to become greener, i.e. more sustainable, and be more careful with our most important resource – the earth.
