We’ll start straight at the largest stadium in the world, and this may come as a surprise to many: it’s the Rungrado May Day Stadium, better known in Germany as “Stadion Erste Mai”. Where is the stadium located? In North Korea!
According to North Korean officials, the stadium has a reported capacity of 150,000 people, but the actual capacity is believed to be around 114,000. Either way, it’s the largest football stadium in the world – with a few thousand spectators: inside distance.

Although it is the largest football stadium in the world, there is another larger stadium in the world: the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India, which mainly shows cricket games. Capacity: 132,000 seats – so all of Wolfsburg or all of Offenbach would fit in here!
