IN Ministry of Health of Ukraine predicted an increase in the number of new cases of coronavirus, which has been recorded in recent days. It is a consequence increasing the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 and the spread of the “British” strain of the virus.
The Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov said on the air of “Freedom of speech Savik Shuster”. The program was broadcast on the YouTube channel Shuster online Friday 19 March (scroll to the end to watch the video).

“The British strain is all over the country. This means, because it is three times more infectious, that a rather tense situation awaits us in terms of the incidence of COVID-19,” the minister said.
Stepanov noted that in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, which was the first to face an increase in the incidence and restrictions on the “red” zone, for more than a week they have been recording positive dynamics. This indicates that the quarantine measures are effective.
Recall that in the near future the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine may hold lockdown meeting due to the spread of coronavirus disease.
