Democratic Party (PD) President Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) spoke about Cash Direct Assistance (BLT) which in the era of leadership of the 6th President of the Indonesian Republic or his father, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), was despised, but is currently being implemented by the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
AHY mentioned this during the Democratic Party’s National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, yesterday (9/15/2022).

Responding to AHY, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini said the world condition is unstable. Therefore, the Government, referring to the 1945 Constitution, disposes: BLT.
“So what was actually communicated was because when we learned there were really unstable conditions, not as usual, the BLT BBM was lowered,” Risma said in a press release, as shown on the company’s YouTube account. Presidential Secretariat, Friday (16/9).
Risma said this uncertainty did not occur only in Indonesia. Also, Risma said, BLT distributed to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This isn’t just happening in Indonesia, but around the world, that’s why the BBM was lowered. Then yesterday it was lowered during the COVID-19 outbreak. So that’s it,” Risma said.
In addition, Risma explained the basics of providing assistance to the community. Risma said that according to the constitution, the poor must be cared for by the state.
“In fact, as stated in article 34 of the 1945 Constitution, poor and abandoned children are cared for by the state,” said Risma.
