WhatsApp will have an indicator for replies in Status

the focus of WhatsApp in recent weeks seems to be really trying to increase the popularity of Status — their own version of Instagram Stories. Since the end of April, the messenger has started testing not just one, but four new additions to the feature that, until then, came from a long period practically untouched.

This time, according to the staff of WABetaInfoWhatsApp has recently started testing a new icon that seeks to differentiate a common message from a response to a Status within a conversation.

As you can see in the image above, the icon can be found next to the message preview in the conversation list, just below the contact’s name. Despite being only an incremental change, this should make it easier to know exactly what the message is talking about.

Although the vehicle has identified the novelty in the beta version of WhatsApp Desktop, the icon is still at a very early stage of its development and, therefore, cannot be accessed by users enrolled in the messenger’s testing program.

If WhatsApp decides to follow the development of this indicator, it is likely that it will gradually begin to appear for beta users in the coming weeks on iOS, Android and Desktop/Web.

Alert for business accounts

who uses the WhatsApp Businessin turn, should soon notice a new alert displayed at the top of the conversation list whenever the user breaks any of the terms of use of the business version of the messenger. This novelty, according to the WABetaInfois part of the preparation for the launch of WhatsApp Premium.

Like the icon for the Statuses, this alert is still in development, but has been released almost for granted. According to the vehicle, it aims to give businesses one more chance to comply with the platform’s rules before having their accounts banned completely.

As you can see in the image above, the alert has a brief message notifying the user about the violation and a button that says “Learn more”, which redirects you to another screen with more details.

This novelty, it is worth noting, will be exclusive to commercial accounts, which have terms of use separate from those shown to users of the standard version of WhatsApp; however, there is still no forecast for the release of the alert.
