WhatsApp Update: Now Allows for Five Pinned Threads for Better Organization

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messenger with over 2 billion active users, has undergone a welcome change. This is good news for people who like order.

Yes for free?

While instant messaging providers are trying to outdo each other with inventive ways to increase the monetization of their applications, the Facebook-owned WhatsApp still looks like it’s free. After all, what is pumping our chats into BigData? However, by agreeing to more profiled advertisements, we sometimes receive functions without direct fees.

This time it’s about how we organize our chats. Since 2017, we can pin our three most frequently used threads to the top of our chat list. However, when the application began to gain popularity, it was necessary to make a change in this matter.

WhatsApp now has five pinned threads

Increased the number of pinned conversations from 3 to 5 it is primarily a tribute to the most active users of the platform with a longer list of important contacts or group chats.

Solution is not yet widely available — work on its implementation is still ongoing, but let’s be honest, it won’t be a big update from a programming point of view. With 2 billion users, however, even such little things are made available gradually to exclude possible operational irregularities “in production”, i.e. after the official update.

Sam the way the function works has not been changed or expanded. You need to move the thread you are interested in to the right so that the chat pin icon appears. With 5 pinned threads we will get a start screen almost entirely filled with pinswhich for some people may facilitate access to loved ones or colleagues.
