This addition allows users to record and exchange short personal videos right within their chat window, transforming the conversation experience to a more media-oriented one.
“Videos play automatically without sound when opened in a chat,” the report quoted as saying GizmochinaSaturday (29/7/2023).
Video messages are designed to facilitate real-time responses to chat interactions, limited to 60 seconds in duration. The feature aims to not only convey information but also share the essence of the moment and the emotions that accompany it.
Whether it’s wishing you a happy birthday, responding to a funny conversation, or sharing good news, video messages aim to encapsulate all human emotions.
Using the video message feature is a fairly easy process, similar to sending a voice message. Users only need to select a video mode and press and hold to record.
An additional swipe enables recording hands-free, again, very similar to audio recording. To increase user convenience, videos are played automatically without sound after being accessed in a chat.
A simple tap on the video activates the sound, ensuring control is in the hands of the recipient. Furthermore, video messages are equipped with end-to-end encryption, ensuring strong security for interactions.
