On December 4, 1977, about one and a half million Andalusians demonstrated in the 8 provincial capitals convened by the Assembly of Parliamentarians to ask for autonomy. It is the most important demonstration of all those that have taken place in Andalusia.
Andalusian emigrants also took to the streets en masse in Barcelona, ​​​​​​Bilbao and Madrid. A day that marked a definitive turning point in the path towards self-government, and which meant the irruption of Andalusia as a political subject in the debate on territorial design in Spain at the beginning of the Transition.
