The latest version of Whatsapp for iOS, version 23.25.79, has launched with a handful of interesting new features, something WABetaInfo was quick to report. Among other things, the chat app has received the new function Connection Health, with which you should be able to quickly check how good your connection is. You should be able to see a range of measurement data about your connection, however, exactly which ones have not yet been revealed. If nothing else, it’s supposed to be good for finding out if you’re sitting too far from the router at home when you want to make your Whatsapp calls.
In addition to Connection Health, the latest iOS version also offers the ability to pin messages in group chats, and you can now send voice messages that can only be played once before they are deleted.
How long it will take before the functions from Whatsapp’s IOS version 23.25.79 are also transferred to the Android app is still unclear.
